Initially this website was set up to show off some pictures, taken from the archives of the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus.

Last year  Simon Halsey celebrated a quarter of a century as our Chorus Director, and to mark the occasion, we presented him with a photo-book, containing a pictorial record of some of the memorable moments of his twenty-five years with us.

The pictures give something of a flavour of the various concerts and tours that have taken place over this period, as well as illustrating how his choice of spectacles has developed during these years!

The photo-book was presented to Simon by the chorus chairman at one of our Christmas concerts in December, to the accompaniment of a “This is Your Life” fanfare by the CBSO brass section.
